Smoth render with silver sand?

Afternoon people,

I don't know about you lot but I have problems on my past two rendering jobs with cracking.
I am putting it down to the quality of the plastering sand, so I am tempted to try silver sand on my next job but I haven't tried it before. Am hopping some one will be able to give me some feed back on it?
