I didn’t have time to do this job. Someone else with a “superstar” reputation got the job. Customer wasn’t best pleased. Asked the renderer about the bumps and he told them they’d settle over time
What are your opinions on this? These lights are pretty cruel though.

Hi Guys

In your opinion, what is the finish (not colour) in the photo and briefly how to achieve it please?

I'm not trying to match existing and I would be getting a renderer to do the job.

I'm a hands-on guy so I can interpret what you say into actual doing it.

No problem if conflicting views, it's good to get opinions from experts.

Many Thanks
grahal

Not a happy happy bunny at all let me tell you.

All went on very well and finished in good time for time to dry until it started to rain in the night and what a mess on Sunday morning and how PI@@@@ off i was on Sunday.

So is they any way i can get this out of the render or is it something called...

Well got to give a big shout out to @Vincey who came over with his ritmo to save my bacon.

Picture this...
Driving up to the job I see in the darkness a huge grin...who is this? At this time? Early?
Yep...Vince...ready for his day's (sorry half day's ) graft.

He sets up his machine with ease while the other lads on the job arrive.
"Who is this f**k**g whirlwind?" they mumble as the moaning c**ts start their day in misery.
Not Vincey...all day bouncing around like an...

Wooden strips in brickwork.

So we're gunning the old render off of old red bricks and there are strips of wood the thickness of laths set into the brickwork every six courses. Why?
I've ask on another thread but @imago couldn't give a definitive answer, @Nisus refuses to lower himself to answer such stupid questions and @Lodan hasn't jumped in to clear this up.

When wet dashing/roughcasting who prefers to apply a scratch coat, let it dry and then dash to a wet reciever coat. No.2: who prefers to give 2 scratch coats let dry and then dash.
