Never used this stuff however I've a 6inch x 4m concrete lintel needing rendered and will be using this. Is it a case of applying with a brush onto the lintel as one does when applying pva. Also putting it through the mix then I'm good to go.

We are planning to render our red brick 1960s bungalow but can't decide between Monocouche or Lime render. What's your opinion? It's cavity walls and will be about 60m^2 of render on three walls.

Primer for HP12 K render base coat

Hi all,

Need to apply a base coat of Krend HP12 over some existing pebble dash render which was painted. The pebble dash is sharp and not like smooth pebbles. The render will not come off and it is fixed solid! I've taken as much of the pebble dash off by manually scrapping it with a claw hammer and have scored the render every 50mm with and angle grinder. Jet washed it all off and about 50% of the paint is off, the rest is solid on the render. The paint is like an oil based thick masonry...

Hi All

I would like to have some wrought iron railing replaced along this wall and for it then to be rendered.

Is anyone able to advise please what would be the correct way to repair the wall after the railings have been fitted.

Also what would be the correct render to use on a wall?.Need it to be hardwearing but authentic, so no sharp lines

Thanks for your thoughts

Knauf Presto Scratch Render

Hello.
Has anyone else used Knauf's Presto range recently?
Knauf say that it is designed for next day scrape but it is absolutely bolt hard. Trying to render the same day with this material is equally as difficult as we are still on site at 8pm as it is not curing quick enough!!
wondered if anyone else is struggling and has any recommendations to help, other than using a different product.
Thanks.

Hi, I am a subcontract for a plastering company, the job is 100 sqm of render on a house, The walls were painted stone to begin with, the previous subbys that were at the Job before me prepped the job for top coat.
They began with using rend aid, then used webber ocr one coat base coat, imbedded mesh into that coat & then mechanically fixed with mushroom plugs, a very solid background to render onto.
So we got to the product mixed up & laid on webber ocr (same product they used for base...

Hello,

Im hoping you guys can offer some advice, we rendered this 2 months ago and today the customer calls as there are cracks appearing, two large cracks, very straight ones.

It was on a timber frame, with cement board. we base coated it with hp12 and fully meshed it, then K1 spray to top. Today was warm, but no hotter than any other warm day.

Customer is devastated, hes a good friend of mine and likes things to be right, which i fully understand.

SO, more than anything i want to...

Hi all, I'm not sure if I have the terminology right but can anyone point me in the direction of a 'how to' guide on scribing the block lines into lime render. Or do you have any methods/tips? I've only done it once and that was 30 years ago I could do with a memory refresh! Thanks.

Render repair

Looking for some advice if anyone can help! Render on my 3 bedroom semi has lots of cracks and small areas have blown. Getting quotes for repair and guy suggested covering in mesh and finishing with a thin k-rend coat. There were another couple of coats, priming I think and something else. He confirmed present render is generally sound and this sounds a more attractive option than the mess involved in removal and starting again. Does anyone have any experience of this fix? Is it a good...
